This blog is about my atempts to search the internet to find what I need for working in the library profession. It is also an attempt to bring together some information of interest to students of librarianship and information studies to help them get the information they need for their coursework.
COPYRIGHT NOTICE (25.08.2011)
Copyright scares the living daylights out of me, probably because I have studied it (briefly) in my LIS course and knowing a bit about it makes you worry more than living in ignorance.
I have an interest in NOT breaching copyright, and so if you feel any work on this blog does breach the copyright or legal use, please let me know.
The use of links, quotes, embedded media or references in this blog does not imply the responsible parties for the links, quotes, embedded media or references in any way support or endorse my points of view, even if I might support theirs.
Any work from other sources remains the property of those people, and I have no rights to claim otherwise – if you would like to use the work of other people linked to or quoted in this blog, please see their licenses, and contact them.
An exception to the following notification on copyright is the banner image for this blog, the original image used for that banner image, and any personal Gravatar images I use – all these images are All Rights Reserved, and I will not allow use without permission, except for where it normally appears as a link to this site in embedded media (e.g. Facebook or other social media links).
As for any other work by me on this site, I am very happy for people to use it, and to be clear, I am copyrighting material under ‘AttributionNonCommercial3.0 Unported (CC BY-NC 3.0)’ (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/3.0/). (NB: this license may change from time to time).
Under the ‘AttributionNonCommercial3.0 Unported (CC BY-NC 3.0)’, you are free to use information originating from this blog (https://asearchinglibrarian.wordpress.com), although not commercially (without permission), and you can alter the works, and you do not have to license the work under the same terms, and attribution would be nice (thank you). To be clear, this means you can use an image like this, and turn it upside and green, and then stick it on your site or do what ever you want with it.
The use of the ‘AttributionNonCommercial3.0 Unported (CC BY-NC 3.0)’ does not effect the copyright of works, from other sources, linked to or quoted in this blog.
To contact me, please leave a message in the comments box of the article/item you are interested in. I check here regularly, and you are required to leave an email address.
